I am an environmental journalist and photographer, covering climate change and energy,  environmental health, fisheries management and sustainable food systems.  My articles have appeared in Scientific American, Smithsonian Magazine, Salon, The Boston Globe, National Geographic Voices, Ensia Magazine, Environmental Health News, Civil Eats, Eater, PRI, Greenbiz, Next City and Revelator.

I’m a member of the National Association of Science Writers and the Society of Environmental Journalists.

I have a S.M. in Environmental Health and previously worked in public health, in both the United States and in Latin America. I’ve also worked as a communications strategist at Ceres, Root Capital and the Acadia Center.
